About Ash

F ull-time as a professional poet since 2008, I’m a multiple slam champion including Edinburgh, Cheltenham, the Museum of Scotland and BBC Radio.

Headlining many shows and festivals throughout the UK, I’ve variously performed in Australia, Canada, USA, New Zealand, Jordan, Spain, Denmark, The Netherlands, The Czech Republic and Germany.

I’m sought-after to run writing workshops in schools, galleries, museums, prisons and with writing groups.

My debut collection, ‘Slinky Espadrilles’, was the very first title published by Burning Eye Books. Three subsequent books have been published by Burning Eye - ‘Strange Keys’ (2016), a collection for younger years, ‘Show Cats In Transit’ (2019) and ‘Instructions For Outlaws’ (2022).
